Welcome to my site . . .

Brenda Chitwood is the author of the Cookie Devereau romantic mysteries.  A charter member of Yellow Rose RWA Chapter, I have served as both Treasurer and Secretary, and have been contest coordinator for eight years. (Picture me throwing in the towel on that last one!)

I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with my dog Sam and sometimes various relatives who drop in. That’s my relatives, not Sam’s. Currently, my niece and her 16-year-old daughter are staying with me. Why is it I have to wrangle a teenager when I don’t have kids of my own? Nevermind, some questions don’t have an answer.

When I’m not writing, I’m enjoying reading, family, travel, getting together with friends, and family research.
